The Amite Kiwanis club welcomed Bridget Bailey with TRACC as the guest speaker for the Thursday, March 25 meeting of the club. Bailey works as the Project Director for Tangipahoa - Reshaping Attitudes for Community Change, otherwise known as TRACC. This program is designed to target individuals, specifically youth and young adults under the age of 21, to prevent and reduce underage alcohol consumption. Bailey explained how the program has been enlightening the public in Tangipahoa Parish to the major concerns of underage drinking and youth alcohol consumption, and presented ways that TRACC is trying to reduce these instances.
