NATCHITOCHES -- A woman who shot and killed a teenager while he slept on a couch has been convicted of second-degree murder.
Tanesha Hardy, 30, of Natchitoches slayed the 16-year-old in October 2009, later telling police she had had a fight with the boy and was afraid of him.
Johnson, asleep and unarmed, was shot three times, prosecutors said.
Second-degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence in Louisiana.
